About

Amelia Wilson is a Rhode Island-based artist creating bold, playful, and joyfully chaotic work. Her art blends dark humor, botany, sea creatures, and coastal culture into vibrant, layered pieces filled with contrast and character.

Raised in a family of artists, Amelia’s creative path began early and took off in the late 2000s when she started designing apparel for local surf shops, skate shops, bars, breweries, and other  businesses in her community. Today, she focuses on acrylic painting, apparel design, digital illustration, and jewelry making.

Her signature style features crowded compositions, bold text, organic patterns, and big color palettes that mix whimsy with edge. “I love complementing contrasts,” she says. “Bright colors with heavy black lines, childish vibes with adult undertones, tropical elements that cater to a Rhode Island locality — I like to mix it up and overdo it.”

Amelia believes that art should be fun, affordable, and approachable, and that life and art are deeply connected. When she isn’t at the beach, she is in her studio turning coastal life and everyday weirdness into art that makes people smile.
